Blanche Traversée (White Crossing - 2018)
At the beginning of February in Paris, the cold reigns. The snow arrived suddenly and accumulated more than 12 cm, which had not happened in 30 years.
In this context, I’ve chosen to focus on a very specific place in Paris: La Petite Ceinture. A former railway line that completely stopped operating in the early 1990s.
Vegetation has since largely recovered. The snow comes to lodge itself there and contrasts even more than elsewhere. A dreamlike landscape takes shape. The rails are increasingly covered by this thick white veil and become barely noticeable.
